The channel links you to videos across government. Visit the playlists and other channels for a wide variety of interesting videos!
Videos will be added to the playlists daily, with featured video rotating each week after the channel is live for some time. If you’d like a video featured from your agency’s channel, please feel free to email me your suggestion at meghan.burrows@gsa.gov
In conjunction with the launch, YouTube is featuring it on their homepage and is highlighting videos from NASA, the Whitehouse, and the Library of Congress. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/ Even more government videos are highlighted on the secondary page: http://www.youtube.com/browse?s=rf
All of this is lovely-- if the Department of the Interior would open the channel for us. Given the growth of the medium, we're missing out on SO much information that could help us do out jobs better, not to mention communicating with our stakeholders. I sit here and see all the fabulous things other Departments are doing and feel like a dinosaur--and embarrassed by how our site measures up in comparison. This is SO discouraging to the "rest" of us who want to kick things up a notch, but feel IT managers either are unaware of what's going on in the social media arena, or simply don't want to devote the resources to allowing us to improve.
Am I alone? Appreciate comments--especially from anyone who has faced a similar barrier and managed to break through.
